3D sculpt of my teacher, Peter Zoppi, who provided lots of great reference images. This was done for his CG Master Academy class, Character Casting.
Primarily sculpted in Mudbox with some adjustments made in Maya. I also used Mudbox to hand-paint the high frequency detail and then bake the normal map.
Eyes and eyelashes were modeled in Maya, which I also used to create the hair. 3 XGen descriptions in total: beard, eyebrows, hair.
Knald was recommended so I used that to generate AO and transmission maps. Really cool program!
Finally, I used Arnold for the final shaders, lighting, and rendering.
